Stub Flanges
DESCRIPTIONA very popular method of connecting poly pipe to itself or to other materials, the stub flange, backing ring and gasket combination make for easy site work conditions and the best way to make changes later on. A stub flange provides a ridged surface, the gasket provides the sealing material, along with a backing ring that provides the strength required to seal the stub flanges surfaces under pressure. Bolts are used to pull the stub flange, gasket and backing ring to the sealing surface.
Full Face Flanges
DESCRIPTIONAs with Stub Flanges, Full Face Flanges are commonly used and make for easy work connecting poly to other materials such as steel pipe together in what is known as a Ductile Iron (DICL). very popular method of connecting poly pipe to itself or to other materials, the stub flange and backing ring combination make for easy site work conditions and the best way to make changes later on. A stub flange provides a sealing surface, along with a backing ring that provides the strength required to seal the stub flange surfaces under pressure.
